That's where we step in...
We met in 2025 in Hobart and a couple of months later ND AffirmEd was developed - we don't mess around - (well maybe a side quest or two!)

Assessments:
We recognised that by teaming up as an OT and a Psychologist, we can magnify the impact that we can both bring as clinicians.
The National Guideline for the Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism (2023) by Autism CRC, recommend a neurodiversity-affirming, multidisciplinary approach.
In combining diagnostic information with functional information, we provide a holistic and comprehensive synthesis.
Training:
In addition, creating neuroaffirming workplaces requires more than awareness. It requires understanding how neurodivergent people think, feel, regulate, and function within real environments.

That’s why we deliver ND AffirmEd training collaboratively as an Occupational Therapist and a Psychologist.

Many neurodiversity trainings focus on understanding neurodivergence but stop short of explaining how to create supportive workplaces.

Our combined approach allows us to translate understanding into practical strategies, including:
-
designing neuroinclusive work environments
-
reducing unnecessary cognitive load
-
supporting sensory needs
-
creating sustainable workload structures
-
improving communication and meeting practices
-
building psychologically safe team cultures
The result is training that is practical, actionable, and grounded in real workplace experience!

Together, we bring complementary expertise that helps organisations move beyond theory into practical, meaningful change.

Our Partnership.

ND AffirmEd was created in response to a clear gap in how neurodivergence is understood, assessed, and supported in Australia. Much of the information currently available to the public, workplaces, and service systems remains outdated, deficit-focused, or disconnected from lived experience.

This can leave neurodivergent people feeling misunderstood, medicalised, or pressured to fit systems that were never designed with their needs or identities in mind.
We know what to look out for, we get the celebration and the struggle, and with neurodiversity as our special interest, we are committed to lifelong professional learning.
